Campus Alarms

 

All intrusion and fire alarms installed on the NMSU campus must comply with standards adopted by the university.  All new systems must be on a standardized system maintained by the University Telecommunications Office and monitored by the Emergency Dispatch Center.  All intrusion alarm locations must have a current alarm permit displayed, and must comply with regulations established by the NMSU Police Department.

There is free training available for authorized users of alarm systems on campus.  This is scheduled every other month, or as needed based on demand.  To register for training, contact the Office of Professional Standards and Ethics at 646-3311.
