Reports and Current Blotter Log
The following link will take you
to a server that contains unofficial copies of reports filed with the NMSU
Police Department. The reports may be
viewed individually with details that include the narrative, or in a blotter
form that shows them in a listing. When
prompted for a user name and password, leave the user name field blank and
enter “2009crimes” as the password.
Available reports go back at least 18 months. Official copies of police reports are
available through the NMSU Police Department’s Records and Evidence
Office.

Statistics and Old Blotter Logs
The following links
allow for a download of various spreadsheets and reports that contain police report
logs and crime statistics from 1989 to 2008, as well as copies of police
reports for the past 18 months. The information contained in these sheets
is summary information only. It should not be used for comparisons with
any other jurisdictions due to differences in reporting and recording
standards, nor for purposes of determining crime rates, unless all necessary
measures are taken to standardize and categorize the data appropriately.
Rather, this data is provided to allow users to make initial searches, as well
as to get an overall perspective regarding the crimes reported to the NMSU
